Fish Habitat Use and ecological flows in Greece - Ecoflow Project

The Institute of Marine Biological Resources and Inland Waters (IMBRIW) - HCMR, together with the Faculty of Geology and Geo-Environment of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the consultancy company of D. Argyropoulos & associates and AVMAP GIS A.E. has undertaken the ECOFLOW project funded by the Hellenic General Secretariat of Research and Technology in the framework of the NSRF 2007-2013. The ECOFLOW methodology for the assessment of ecological flow is based on the observation of fish species "preferences" in relation to four parameters (depth, velocity, substrate and cover) at microhabitat scale.
