Do Bats Listen to Each Other? | Nicole Abaid | TEDxVirginiaTech

In her talk, Nicole shares with us her research on dynamic systems and how bats can help us solve engineering problems. Nicole Abaid, an assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Mechanics, studies how animals swarm in order to gain insights on improving the control of multi-agent systems. In 2014, she was named one of Popular Science magazine’s Brilliant 10. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
