8 Kids Successfully Sued Government To Force Climate Change Policy!

8 youngsters won their lawsuit against the state of Washington which alleged that the State Department of Ecology was not upholding it's responsibilities to protect it's natural resources. Judge Hollis Hill the King County superior court ruled in favor of the children and now Washington will have to come up with a plan to significantly reduce emissions and also suggest to state legislature what can be done to eliminate greenhouse gasses. Judge Hollis stated after the ruling that the state has a responsibility to protect the future of our planet for our future generations. Hollis stated, "These children can’t wait, the polar bears can’t wait, the people of Bangladesh can’t wait. I don’t have jurisdiction over their needs in this matter, but I do have jurisdiction in this court, and for that reason I’m taking this action." The suit was organized by the Oregon activist group, "Our Children's Trust" which also has numerous other suits in progress against other states.
