This group activity is intended to increase awareness of human impacts on the environment, as well as how difficult and expensive it is to make the water resources we have clean enough for human consumption. Students will work in teams to come up with a budget and strategy to clean a sample of polluted water. The lab incorporates mixtures, solutions, density, magnetism, environmental factors, conservation, engineering, math, and more! Great for science centers, stations, and lab day!
